Begin this thrilling activity at 9.30 AM in the morning or 2:30 PM in the afternoon after reaching the rafting meeting place at Valpoi. You are then taken by our vehicles to the river before meeting your guides, getting your safety equipment and briefing and then boarding the rafts to begin the nearly 10km trip. A lot of easy class 2 and 3 rapids with names like ‘Big Daddy,’ ‘Giant Haystacks,’ ‘Y Fronts,’  and ‘Pipeline.’ Whether friends, family or kids over 12, everyone is welcome.

It is good, safe fun! As per safety rules and norms, you will also be provided with Life jackets and Helmets and the boats carry onboard safety and rescue equipment. Then, you are in safe hands. This rafting activity can last anything from 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours depending on water levels. This time frame includes the transport to and from the river.

Rapids of the river in Goa:

The stretch of 6km river has rapids of difficulty level ranging from moderate to complex. It consists of high & low waves, narrow passages & whirlpools, and protruding rocky outcrops; making it ideal for beginner rafters and tourists. What to bring?

T-Shirts, shorts and sports shoes or floaters for rafting.
A change of dry clothes and a towel.

Travel Tips

(1) Book ticket in advance as it is usually packed.
(2) Reach before the time so that you have less waiting time.
(3)  You should wear comfortable clothes and don’t carry anything with you. Don’t wear any piece of jewellery, watches, specs, etc from your body. All pockets should be empty.
(4) In the cafeteria, where your fellow mates can sit and watch you jump on the big screen.
(5) If you have a  heart condition, epilepsy, high blood pressure, diabetes, or a neurological disorder, or are pregnant, it is advised that you don’t attempt the jump.

Safety Measure:

People who have certain medical conditions should not attempt do river rafting. River Rafting companies make you sign a release that includes a list of these conditions. You should get clearance from your doctor if you have blood pressure that is too low or too high, back problems, breathing issues such as asthma, circulatory diseases, heart problems or head injuries. Pregnant ladies are not allowed to do river rafting.
